Healthy eating is a complex subject. Healthy eating also promotes healthy skin. It’s probably not quite as complex as it seems, but thanks to the large number of books, websites, and diets released every year, it can get harder and harder to even start, let alone find a successful diet. And while all this information can make finding a good fat loss diet hard, here is some general eating habits that are great to get you started.
Americans (and a lot of the rest of the world) simply does not eat enough vegetables. While that has become a cliche over the years, that’s because it’s very true. American’s tend to eat a very fat and grain heavy diets, and the general consensus among those who spend a lot of time studying nutrition (the physical fitness crowd, trainers, and body builders) is that this is a diet that leads towards gaining and keeping weight, rather than losing it. It’s a trend that has grown over the past 20 years, to the point that over half of America is overweight.

So what can you do right now to stop this? To start, begin limiting your intake of sugar as much as possible. Stop adding sugar to coffee or cereal. Look at foods you normally buy, like sauces, condiments, everything really. Look for ‘high fructose corn syrup’ in the ingredients. This is sugar. Your body can either burn sugar or it can burn fat. If you’re eating sugar, you can’t burn fat. And that’s the most basic lesson in fat loss.
Also, eat only lean meats and vegetables as much as possible. Fruit is good, but not as essential. Nuts make for good snacks. But for main meals, make it as exclusively meats and vegetables as possible.
